All the people

reading a book by a Chinese pastor whose life in the persecuted church grew a man into a disciple…We in the West so often become a believer and bathe far too long in the “I am blessed “or “now life is going to go soo much smoother”…most in the persecuted church seem to understand that believing is entering into a dangerous place and that means making Him known in every way possible-to the lost around us…Saying YES to Jesus is entering into discipleship school of action,danger,stretching ourselves far beyond what is comfortable and self pleasing…Change me Lord into that kind of a Disciple!!

So here we are continuing to wait for a real sense-other than a completely subjective and very real desire-to sell ourhouse. Over the years with it being off and on the market..mostly “by owner” we have really waited to hear the Father’s opinion on it..it is not good enough for me to submit to the circumstances speaking..but to really hear His instruction…Yet as I am processing i see some interesting biblical patterns…although we can read the Bible and seesome “suddenlies” there are so many othe incidents of waiting-gestation-delays-gaps..you get where I am going. Even Jesus the SON OF GOD did not begin public ministries until the age of 30. Paul following his conversion spent 13 years away-training,studying becoming acquainted with the One he had formerly persecuted to the One he now worshipped. The stories in Acts did not happen overnight as it was a synopsis of years..Abraham, David, Peter’s( and more )ministry took some old fashioned- unmicrowaved-seasons of time.There were few happenings or that were quickly fulfilled..do I like it? Well not realy-but I am submitting to the process because He knows more than I do what we need and and why the delays..Delays on my end are not delays on His end…and you know what there is such a huge sense of feeling protected, loved and excitement that this isn’t just about our decisions or even desires but about what He is doing in us yet what He is doing in the body and in His bride…YEEE HA! Thanks Jesus

I Heard Trumpets

So in the early days of navigating computers and more specifically websites I remember one night home alone. I had been at a few sites and was also multitasking as usual..I had gone from the office to the living room and I heard a very faint noise..it was music..hmm not coming from the tv..oh well go back to the office and still workingoff the website..again hear distinct music..it sounded like trumpets..faint distant..yep trumpets…oh some kid must be practicing next door..I open the door and agin ..no -did not hear it out there..so for about an hour and a half every once in awhile I am hearing trumpets and suddenly at some point in the midst of trying to figure out where this was coming from I remembered the verses.I corinthians 15:52..in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed…then the verses in Revelations 8..I am alone and OH JESUS YOU ARE HERE!..I HEAR THE TRUMPETS..my family ..do they hear and I begin to pray and cry..eventually the door opens and Dustin and Rick walk in..I am animated..a little teary but can they hear..their faces a little less than excited..instead a -What are you eating kind of look-I explain what has happened-they do not hear anything and frankly right now I did not either..what is going on? I sat at the computer..there again I hear it and as I click and look I see one of the websites behind the others has a trumpet and sure enough..there it is –the sound..our speaker was on very low and this website had been playing trumpets…WHOA!! Jesus is coming soon though..HE IS!!
